What do the Terms say about ownership?
These points come from section 5 of the Terms of Service:- What you generate is yours. You own the AI-generated avatars and content you make with Percify, subject to the Terms.
- It isn’t exclusive. Similar or identical content may be generated for other users who give similar inputs.
- What you upload stays yours. You keep ownership of your photos, audio and other uploads. You give Percify a license to use, process and store them only to provide the service.
- You need the rights to your uploads. By uploading something, you confirm you have all the rights it needs and that it doesn’t violate anyone else’s rights.
Does Percify put a watermark on videos?
No, with one exception.
The mark on replicas is there so that remakes of real videos, which can show real people’s likenesses, are identifiable as AI-made.
What am I not allowed to make?
Commercial use doesn’t lift the Acceptable Use Policy in section 4 of the Terms. For example, you may not:- make deepfakes or misleading content intended to deceive
- create avatars of people without their explicit consent
- impersonate any person or entity
- violate anyone’s privacy, publicity or intellectual property rights
Do I have to say a video is AI-generated?
Section 15 of the Terms says you must clearly disclose when content is AI-generated where the law or a platform’s policies require it. Many ad and social platforms have their own labeling rules, so check the rules of the platform you publish on. Section 15 also makes you responsible for reviewing and verifying generated content before you use it.FAQ
